Sheikh Mohammed honors Police team
Vice President, Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, honored on Monday a group of 47 Officers, Non Commissioned Officers and personnel’s from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah for their efforts in rescuing a 13 year old Indian girl, Fatima Mohammed Munir, who was kidnapped on February 13 2006 by two Arab youths
The security team managed to rescue the girl and safely return to her family within 36 hours. Sheikh Mohammed decorated the personnel in the presence of. His Highness Lt.Gen Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior, other Ministers and Senior Officials and other Dignitaries.
Sheikh Saif hailed the accurate execution of the plan, saying effective cooperation between various investigation departments helped to resolve the problem in a record time.
The operation is a testimony to high quality of Police performance in the tree Police Commands in the Country and sends a strong message to the anti social elements about the stability and security of the Society, he said.
The kidnapped girl speaking on the occasion thanked the UAE Rulers and praised the efforts of the leadership and the Police in rescuing her safely and expressed her confidence in the safety and security situation in the country.
Her uncle Abdul Wahab who is the member of India parliament also was present on the occasion. The MP praised the remarkable achievement by the Police in saving his brothers daughter. He expressed his deep felt gratitude to the rulers of the country and also for the meticulous efforts of the security personnel’s.
Colonel Abdul Karim of the criminal investigation department gave the details of the entire operation carried out by the special group constituted and under the instructions of Lt. Gen.Sheikh Saif that led to the successful rescue operation.
The two kidnappers are now undergoing their imprisonment.
