Scientific lecture on musculoskeletal ailments and diagnosis held at the Abu Dhabi Police

A scientific lecture on musculoskeletal ultrasound examination of shoulder joints was organized at the police officers club yesterday. The scientific program was organized by the directorate of medical services of the Abu Dhabi police in coordination with the European society of musculoskeletal radiology.

The lecture was delivered by Dr.W.J.Willems, president elect of the European society for shoulder and elbow which was attended by the medical practitioners from the general directorate of medical services.
The program was indented to give the audience about the latest developments in the process of medical examination of shoulder joints, its common pathology, nature of examination and diagnosis of instability symptoms, of arthritis and frozen shoulders.
The lecture was supported by visual presentations about the diagnostic process, positions and conditions that that lead to various shoulder ailments. The attendees were provided with questions that assist the self assessment of shoulder conditions through simple shoulder test questions where the people could examine the medical fitness through self examination following guided actions provided in the questions.
The interactive session that followed towards the end of the program helped to clarify the participants questions regarding various points discussed through the session. The audience appreciated the utility and medical value of the program in their day to day professional duties.
Dr.W.J.Willems also examined 60 odd patients with various shoulder ailments at the police clinic and conducted 8 shoulder operations on patients.
