Registration of vehicles could be linked to anti theft gadgets to curb thefts
Abu Dhabi Police are likely to ask the traffic department all over the UAE not to register vehicles not fitted with anti theft gadgets in a move to curb the theft of vehicles.
A field study conducted by the Abu Dhabi Police has underlined the need for a anti crime policy in a bid to reduce the number of victims due to their negligence or not having taken proper protective measures.
The study conducted by Dr Taha Ahmed Mutwalli,Adviser ,Police research and study center indicates that if a house is well protected or fortified, the burglar would prefer to move to another house ,which he can easily break into which proves that it is essential to protect the house and vehicles in preventing many crimes.
The study contains a set of recommendations to be applied in order to protect car from being stolen and shops from being robed.
