Regional conference on child helpline begin in Abu Dhabi
 
The 2nd Middle East and North Africa regional consultation for child helpline began in the capital yesterday. The conference being held at the Intercontinental hotel Abu Dhabi will go on till the seventh of this month is being attended by members of the child helpline international from the Middle East and North African regions.
 
The conference is being organized by child helpline international in association with the social support center Abu Dhabi. The first conference of the Meena region was held in March 2006 in Egypt.
 
The chilled helpline international was formed to look after the welfare of the children affected by natural disasters, war situations and other conflicts and also rehabilitate and educate the destitute children.
 
The regional meeting will act as a platform to exchange expertise, resources and experiences of different centers and provide technical support between helpline centers. The meeting will also discuss issues and challenges faced by each region and centers in achieving its objectives.
 
The delegates attending the four day conference will also attend many training sessions related to various issues in child welfare. An action plan also will be drawn for participant countries, region for the future on its last session.
