The Special Security Forces Headquarters at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) organized a set of activities as part of the Ramadan Futsal Tournament and the volleyball tournament that are being held at the Force 5 Department. This initiative illustrates the MoI’s interest in human development and in strengthening bonds of communication amongst its staff members.

During the opening event, Colonel Staff Dr. Ali Salim Al Tunaiji, Deputy Commander of Special Security Forces at the Ministry of Interior explained that the current Ramadan tournament falls within the framework of the MoI’s interest in sports activities and tournaments. These activities and tournaments provide character-building opportunities for police officers, raise awareness about the importance of sports, and are competitions that develop the participants’ capabilities and skills.

He also said that the Futsal Tournament involves the participation of the Combat and Tasks Company Teams (A.B.C.D.E) and the Administration Team. The Outdoor Volleyball Tournament involves the participation of six teams namely the Combat and Tasks Company Teams (A.B.C.D.E) and the Administration Team.

In the first day of matches in the Futsal Tournament, the Administration Team won against the Combat and Tasks Company (C) Team 12/4. The match was attended by Major Saeed Ali Abu Khalil, Head of Force 5 Department, and a number of other officers at the Special Security Forces Headquarters at the MoI.

The second week of matches in the Futsal Tournament resulted in the Combat and Tasks Company (E) Team winning against the Combat and Tasks Company (B) Team 5/4. In the Outdoor Volleyball Tournament, the Combat and Tasks Company (E) Team won against the Combat and Tasks Company (B) Team in 2/0 rounds.
