Policemen honoured for bravery
Three Abu Dhabi policemen were honoured by the Minister of Interior, Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at a ceremony at his office yesterday.
The three, Saeed Daham, Khalid Baiyadha and Mohammed bin Jar, were each given a certificate of appreciation and cash awards by the minister. They have also been promoted in appreciation of their bravery on duty.
The three policemen had chased and overpowered a bank robber who was in possession of sharp-edged weapons. The robber showed strong resistance, but was arrested by the three policemen who chased and managed to overpower him despite great danger to their lives.
