Police deny press reports
Investigations reveal the story was false
The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police has denied reports appeared in a section of the press regarding that one of the accident victim was carried in a body bag presuming that he was dead.
The accident occurred on Abu Dhabi Al Ain highway on October 29, and the ambulance unit shifted Nasir Mohammed Salim Al Saedy, a 24 year old UAE National to Tawam hospital using stretcher and not in a body bag as reported in the media
The Ambulance team led by staff Sergeant Amir Mohammed Talib Al Kathiry included four rescuers a first aid person and driver and the patient was given oxygen through out the journey to the hospital.
The injured was received by Dr Mohammad Fadl Allah from emergency department of Tawam hospital and was immediately taken to the intensive care unit for three days before being shifted to surgery department for further treatment.
The newspapers which published the report had failed to gather accurate information regarding the incident from official sources either from the Police or the concerned hospital authorities.
Investigations by the Police as well as the hospital authorities have found press report as false and urged the press to be accurate in their reports failing which they would loose their credibility.
