Police call upon motorists to be cautious while driving during foggy days
The traffic and patrols department reported four accidents that took place in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs yesterday during the early hours due to the heavy foggy conditions.
Major Jamal Al Amri, director of public relations and mass media administration at the traffic and patrols department called upon the motorists to be very careful while driving when the conditions are foggy.
He said that the accidents took place due to over speeding and not keeping enough space between the vehicles. One accident occurred in Abu Dhabi city and the other three in the outer skirts of Abu Dhabi where a total of four people got minor injuries.
Major Amri cautioned the motorists to be vigilant while driving and follow all the traffic safety measures and also constantly check for the vehicle conditions especially the condition of the tires. It is our responsibility to assure the safety of the self and also of the other road users, he added.
