Police Personnel Honourned

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the award of medals of appreciation to a number of Officers and Non Commissioned Officers of the Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah Police.
The award of the medals is a token of appreciation for the success of detectives’ from the directorates in the three emirates to nail two Arab nationals who abducted an young Asian girl to blackmail her father.
Commending on the award, the minister of interior His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the president for felicitating the Police personnel who succeeded within a short time, to identify the culprits’ .the honour bestowed upon these police personnel is an honour for the entire Police force, said Sheikh Saif.
He also congratulated the police commands in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, for their success over what was considered as one of the major security challenges.
Sheikh Saif further hailed the cooperation of the general public, saying that this cooperation is a result of community policing. The major challenge in this kind of operation was to safeguard the life of the hostage and disrupt the information network of the kidnappers during the raid, said Sheikh Saif.
The operation which lasted less than 36hours underscores the quality of Police performance .it also send a strong message to criminals that the security forces in the country are a unified lot and vigilant enough to safeguard the stability and safety of the society.
