National Campaign for Security awareness from 18th Feb

The national campaign for security awareness for the year 2006 will be organized from the 18 to 24 February with various events and programs through out the country.
The annual campaign is being organized by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with other government and private organizations. The campaign aims to create safety and security awareness among all the segments of the society. Said Brigadier Hasan Al Housani, Director of the Public Relations and Mass Media Administration at the General Headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Police, who is also the coordinator of the campaign.
The main theme of this year’s campaign is Stable family Secured society. The campaign will commence with a road race at the corniche, where nationals and other expatriates will be participating. There will be different races for different categories including woman and the physically challenged .cash rewards and other prizes will be distributed to the winners. They will carry the message of stability and security across the cross section of the society besides assuring the community participation in such campaigns of national importance.
The organizing committee have planed various programs for the children ,family and other segments of the population.Leaflets,posters and other literature that carries the message and importance of stability in the family for securing the society will be distributed every where.
Special presentations, seminars and contests will be held in shopping malls, schools and other places where the messages could be spread to the masses and can assure their participation in playing their possible role in assuring the family stability and the security of the country. There will be special programs for the children and prizes will be distributed to the participants.
As security is a collective responsibility and all the responsible residents must undertake their responsibilities and join the campaign to make it a grant success, added Brigadier Housani.
