Motorists who exceed permissible speed limits will be fined
 
 
Colonel Khamees Isaac Deputy director of Traffic and Patrols Department at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ said that the Police will readily respond to any complaint or query from the public within their services framework is the general strategy adopted by Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
 
Colonel Isaac said this in response to a readers query in a local newspaper regarding the request for information about the speed limits permitted between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
 
 Colonel Isaac said that  the speed limits on the road from Abu Dhabi to Seh Shuaib should not exceed 160 km. the speed should also not exceed 160 km from compound bridges (Musafah Bridge and Al Maqta) in Abu Dhabi towards Al Ain
 
Colonel Khamees said that the Arabic gulf street is not included with the highways with an allowable speed of 120km and from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Al Hair in Al Ain city should not exceed 160km.
 
The deputy director of Traffic and Patrols Department said that there is no additional margin to the maximum allowable speed as the electronic control devices and traffic patrols deployed on the roads will monitor the violation of vehicles exceeding the allowable speed.
 
He called upon the motorists to drive responsibly within the speed limits to prevent traffic accidents and to assure the safety of other motorists and road users by following traffic rules and guidance’s especially during the late night hours in addition assuring the quality of tires, engines and lighting of their vehicles.
