Members of the public of different age groups have interacted with various events being held at part of the Ministry of Interior Village 2011 which is recently hosted by the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. They have enjoyed the festive atmosphere at the venue as police band performing music.

“The Ministry of Interior establishes values of community culture and promotes interaction with the public through the exhibits and services presented at the village”, said some visitors.

Ali bin Salim Al Kaabi, Director of the Office of the Minister for Presidential Affairs, and also chairman of the Board of Trustees of Family Development Foundation, paid a visit to the village where he viewed the exhibits and services which various MoI departments offer to the public. He expressed his admiration for the exhibits and wrote a personal note on the gusts book.

Also Dr Mughair Al Khaili, Director General, Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), paid a visit to the village. He toured its different pavilions, viewed its contents and wrote a personal note on gusts book.

They were received there by Colonel Hussein Al Awadhi, head of the organizing committee and also general supervisor of the village.

The open theatre attracted massive crowd of people who interacted with the different shows and  contests presented by Warrant officer, Halima Al Khuzaimi and Jassem Obeid who dressed up as a teddy bear. She presented gifts to the winners.

The Tourism Police Section, affiliated to the Criminal Investigation Department at Abu Dhabi Police is taking part in the village. The section, through its tent, informs the public about the role of tourism police and its locations in the emirate. Also pamphlets showing the work nature of the section are being distributed to the public.

The pavilion of General Directorate of Civil Defence in Abu Dhabi and Western Region witnesses huge crowd hoping to get acquainted with the role of civil defence in protecting individuals and properties. Awareness publications are being distributed to the public.

Large crowds of children rush to the MoI studio to take pictures while dressing in police uniform. From opening day till day seven, around 1500 children have been photographed at the studio free of charge.
