The Higher Organizing Committee of the Emirati Woman Conference held its second meeting yesterday at Al Ittihad Hall at the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Major General Dr. Abdul Quddous Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Assistant Director General of Total Quality at Dubai Police, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee. The Emirati Woman Conference will be held in March under the slogan “Excellence and Innovation 2016”.

Major General Dr. Al Obaidly asserted that the directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior have been instrumental in supporting the work process and preparations for the Conference. The Conference will highlight the innovation and creativity of Emirati women, review their experience in this regard and honor innovative women.

Major General Al Obaidly also noted that Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has also issued his directives to promote the already existing cooperation with ‘999 Magazine’, published by the Ministry of Interior and Emirates Intellectual Property Association (EIPA). This had a positive effect on organizing the ‘Emirati Woman Conference: Excellence and Innovation 2016’, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior.

The meeting discussed various topics on the  agenda, such as designating duties of work teams in charge of preparing for the Conference, reviewing the minutes of the previous meeting, and reviewing the achievements made within the framework of organizing the ‘First Emirati Woman Conference Excellence and Innovation 2016’.

The meeting was attended by Lt. Colonel Hamad Al Nuaimi, Acting Director of the Higher Committees Department; Lieutenant Colonel Awad Saleh Awad Saeed, Editor-in-chief of 999 Magazine; Major Mohammed Khamis Al Saridi, Chief of the Protocol Section at the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior; Lt. Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Maaini from Dubai Police; and Dr. Habib Ghloum from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development; in addition to a number of officers and Committee members.
