The Community Police department of Abu Dhabi Police have criticized the negative role of the media establishments leading to adverse effects on the security and stability of both family and society, and asked them to play their role positively to safeguard the stability of the society.
Delivering a lecture on the negative effects of media and their impact on society at the UAE Armed forces Headquarters ,Chief of the department Colonel Najm Abdullah al Hosani said that the recent technology such as the blue tooth enabled mobiles and internet were being misused by the youth.
Colonel Hosani underlined the importance of the Medias role in the society in creating public awareness shaping public opinion and enhancing the knowledge of the viewers and the readers. He discussed the solutions to such issues through educational and better social deeds.
He called for more efforts to improve the Medias performance in order to provide fair and balanced information that conformed to these social principles and responds to the needs of the youth.
