The jay walkers those who are not using the designated pedestrian crossings will soon be fined said an official of the traffic and patrolling department of the Abu Dhabi police.
Taking in to account of the rapidly increasing road accidents involving pedestrians, the Abu Dhabi police will kick start an awareness campaign from next week. According to the records 1858 pedestrians were involved in traffic accidents during 2007.
