The Saaed Society to Reduce Traffic Accidents is participating at the GITEX exhibition for information technology at the Dubai World Trade Center, which commences today, Sunday. The participation includes organizing a traffic awareness program at the booth of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in order to enhance social partnerships and a systematic community outreach, and to raise the level of traffic education amongst all sectors of society.
Lt. Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri, Executive Director of the Saaed Society, said, “We are participating in the GITEX exhibition for information technology due to the great importance of this event. On one hand, we are able to serve the directives of the society by communicating with the public; and on the other hand, we are able to reflect the directives of our higher leadership by promoting creative and interactive community service.”
Lt. Colonel Al Ameri explained that the society’s participation at the MoI exhibition involves traffic contests, films, distributing Saaed Magazine to visitors, and communicating with the public to enhance traffic awareness. Additionally, the society introduced traffic laws and urged the public to adhere to the designated speed limits, to use seatbelts, and to abide by the traffic laws.
He added that the society is working within the strategy in which the objective is to focus on the human, economic, and social losses that are caused by traffic accidents; as these losses reflect negatively in all aspects of life. This vision is expounded by setting a comprehensive work program to intensify participation in many activities and events targeting all sectors of society.
