Police foil bid to smuggle huge quantity of narcotics
Anti drugs squads of the Ministry of Interior have foiled the attempt of International smugglers trying to move 24 million worth of hashish and heroin in to the region
The marines anti narcotic squads have successfully seized 203 kg of hashish from a Pakistani ship docked at the khor Fakkan port. The consignment belonged to a drug dealer in Pakistan and was to be delivered to another party in Saudi Arabia.
The UAE authorities led the operation in coordination with the Saudi authorities in the seizure of the consignment.
In another operation the anti narcotic department, passed on the information it has received about the attempt to smuggle 51 kg of heroin in to Kuwait, which helped in nabbing the smuggler by the Kuwait authorities.
The authorities have praised the efforts and vigilance of the anti narcotic squads they exert to curb the menace of drugs and protecting the society from the dangers caused by them.
