National campaign for security awareness begins
A National campaign to rid the Country of illegal residents and associated crimes began today. The ‘National campaign for security awareness’ will target all segments of the society to educate the public on dangers posed by illegal residents as well as its security risk on the society itself.
The campaign will also focus on crime prevention under the slogan ‘security is the responsibility of all’.
In a statement marking the occasion Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Minister of Interior, said that UAE was considered as one of the safest countries in the world that enjoys security and stability from corner to corner.
By the grace of Allah the Almighty in the first place and due to this atmosphere our Country was able to achieve development in many fields, said He.
The campaign organized this year is under the theme ‘Legal residents a safer society’ will have various programs and campaigns from 19th February and go on till the 25th February. The focus will be on highlighting the threat of illegal residents, its implications to the society and the need to fight the menace collectively .The campaigns aims to seek the total participation of all the segments of the society.
According to him, the country has drawn up clear cut polices on illegal residency related issues and gives top priority in dealing with it
He urged all members of the society to join hands to rid the country from illegal residents and make the society a safer place to live in.
