The Research and Survey Center at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has issued a series of outstanding studies and research, focusing on topics that serve police work and are thought-provoking for Police Officers, as well as adding to their knowledge of the fundamentals of scientific research.
These studies fall within the framework of the “Year of Reading” initiative. They also stress the MoI’s unwavering commitment to achieving Government directives via the dissemination of knowledge and consolidation of innovation, in order to create a competitive business environment that supports scientific research and developmental ideas in various aspects of work.
Major Dr. Omar Rashed Al Shehhi, Director of the Research and Survey Center at the MoI, praised the support of the police leadership. “The police leadership follows-up and encourages researchers to submit their ideas and study security phenomena and challenges. It also motivates them to develop solutions and recommendations according to scientific principles and methodologies, based on the analysis of data and statistics, and to review international best practices in this field, in order to look to the future and support the decision-making system,” he said.
The publications included a series of important studies, including “Criminal Protection of IT Methods in Arab Legislations – The UAE as a Model,” by Professor Dr. Imam Hassanein Khalil Atallah, Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Zayed; “Strategic Management and Organizational Excellence: Foundations and Principles,” by strategy expert Jalal Mohamed Al Nuaimi; “Information Security: Concept, Sources, Statistics and Analysis,” by Colonel Ibrahim Hamad Al Hinai, First Lieutenant Abdul Rahman Aqeel Bu Kotaim, and Dr. Engineer Hassan Ahmad Al Maliki. Other publications featured were “Modern Management of the Security Information System: Concepts and Applications,” by Colonel Ibrahim Hamad Al Hinai, First Lieutenant Adel Abdullah Hamid, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Al Amine Al Bushra.
The publications also included the winners of the 2nd Edition of the Minister of Interior’s Scientific Research Award. The research included “Smart Services in the UAE” by Lieutenant Maryam Mohammed Al Hammadi; and the book, “Collecting and Analyzing Security and Strategic Information from Social Media.”
Honoring
Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the Ministry of Interior, honored the authors of the 2016 publications issued by the Research and Survey Center at the MoI. Colonel Al Dhaheri commended their endeavors and paid tribute to their great efforts in enriching the Arab library and supporting scientific research. In conclusion, the Strategy and Performance Development Director General wished them further progress, selfless contribution and excellence in serving their dear homeland.
