Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters - Traffic and Patrols Directorate announces that due to the start of the Formula 1 race in Yas Island, and to ensure safety of the traveling public, mobile radar patrols will be dispatched on Sheikh Khalifa Expressway (Shahama - Saadiyat Expressway) and Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (Abu Dhabi - Shahama Expressway) with the radar speeds set as follows:

1. Sheikh Khalifa Expressway (Shahama - Saadiyat Expressway) the two directions withn Yas Island : 80 km/h
2. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road ( Abu Dhabi - Shahama Expressway) the two directions between Sas Al Nakhl interchange to Shahama City Interchange: 100 km/h
3. These speeds will be enforced starting Thursday 29/10/2009 to Monday 2/11/2009.

 

 

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate urges all drivers to adhere to the speed limits above to ensure safty of all road users and use alternative routes as much as possible to ease the traffic flow.
