IRIS system

AD Police has made the greatest scientific achievement allover the world by introducing the Eye Print system. It is a new system to identify persons. It is a biometric recognition of persons by their iris patterns. It is based upon mathematical analysis of the random patterns visible in the iris of a person’s eye (iris recognition). This system is effective and fast in detecting wanted persons and the process takes seconds to identify a person.

A Study has been carried out which is globally known as the United Arab Emirates Iris Study. It is considered a scientific recognition of UAE leading role in eye print technology. Even some other countries adopt this technology, the pioneering role of UAE will remain in history. The system is characterized by its high accuracy.

In addition to scientific results the study presents to world governments and organizations a proof that eye print technology is an effective and reliable system for identifying persons. This technology has the capacity to deal with databases bigger than UAE database. Moreover, other countries will depend on UAE study when they decide to adopt this technology. However, the study has proved that the decision to deploy the system at all UAE ports is hundred percent prudent.

UAE has signed a contract with the inventor of iris Recognition Professor John Daugman from the University of Cambridge to perform 200 billion pair comparisons among (632,500) different irises. The process took 14 continuous days by use of main computers (10 processors).

The 14 page result of the study has shown that the iris recognition technology works in the same way described by Professor Daugman theory in 1994. No False Matches have been detected after performing 200 billion comparisons under Hamming Distances Criterion (0.262). This means all comparisons performed in UAE were highly reliable and of high quality.
