The Sharjah Federal Police Academy organized the first excellence forum in which 34 outstanding members from the Police College, and 45 others from General Headquarters, General Departments at the Ministry of Interior, government and media entities, national figures and strategic partners who support the academy, were honored.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Brigadier Ali Mohammed bin Darwish, Director General of Human resources at the Ministry of Interior; Colonel Dr. Jasim Mohammed Al Bakr, Acting Director of the Federal Police Academy; Habibah Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Marriage Fund, and Dr. Maryam Muhammed Matar, Founder and Executive Director of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association; alongside a number of highranking officers from the Ministry.
In his speech, Brigadier bin Darwish stressed that this recognition represents an incentive for all, encouraging them to persevere and continue their efforts to develop and enhance performance; in line with the standards of excellence that the Ministry is keen to have as a general feature at all levels of its work.
He added that excellence is no longer a luxury, it is a national and a moral obligation and a style of life that individuals should adopt to achieve their goals. He reaffirmed the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to instill the roots of excellence among its staff; well evident in the fact that the Ministry of Interior earned the majority of the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Awards. Not to mention the launching of the Ministry of Interior award, called H. H Minister Of Interior’s Excellence Award, and the ISO certifications earned by a number of General Headquarters and General Departments at the Ministry.
Moreover, Bin Darwish continued that the Ministry’s achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the true partners, with whom to share the experiences and services, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation.
He urged the honored outstanding members to continue their efforts and achieve the highest levels of excellence, in order to reach the best leadership positions in the service of the country; thus achieving the aspirations of the Higher Leadership at the ministry, and contribute to the fulfill its strategic vision.
The honoring ceremony began with a documentary showcasing the achievements of the Ministry, its projects, received awards, and a briefing on the Federal Academy profile, history, stages of development and major achievements.
Major Saeed Salem Al Mathloum, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Forum, delivered a speech, stressing that the ceremony held at the Academy to honor its outstanding members and strategic partners, reflects the keenness of the Academy to achieve the vision of the Ministry of Interior, aimed to making the UAE one of the best countries in the world in terms of safety and security.
Dr. Maryam Muhammed Matar, Goodwill Ambassador for Women and Children, Founder and Executive Director of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the honorees of strategic partners, expressing the thanks and appreciation to those in charge of the Forum; commending the roles played by the Ministry of the Interior’s staff and their achievements, felt by all the citizens and residents in the country. She added that this recognition creates an atmosphere of satisfaction among the outstanding staff and is highly appreciated by them.
Brigadier bin Darwish, accompanied by Colonel Ali Al Salem Al Tunaiji, Director of Training Department at the Human Resources General Department, and Colonel Dr. Jasim Muhammed Al Bakr, awarded the outstanding members from the Federal Police Academy and Strategic Partners and supporters of the Academy.
The honoring included Police General Headquarters of Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, in addition to the Special Security Forces General headquarters, the Sharjah General Directorate of Civil Defense; the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences; the Department of Medical Services in Sharjah; Sharjah Radio and Television; Electricity and Water Authority in Sharjah; the Confidence Club for the Disabled in Sharjah; Dubai Customs Training Center; University of Ajman for Science and Technology; Al Ghurair University; Al Sharjah Sports Club; and Sharjah Centre for Blood Transfusion Services and Research.
The honoring also included Consultant Rashed Ali Al Omrani, Attorney General of Sharjah; Habibah Issa Al Hosani, Director of Marriage Fund; and Dr. Maryam Muhammed Matar, Founder and Executive Director of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association.
