Ministry of Interior Discusses Completing the e-Transformation Services Program

  • In a specialized workshop, the Ministry of Interior discussed the project of completing the the e-Transformation Program of government services.
     
    The workshop was inaugurated by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, who asserted the keenness of the Ministry in its strategic plan, to keep pace with the latest global developments in order to reach to highest levels in serving clients by using the best technologies to achieve the desired aspirations and gain the trust of clients.

    The workshop organized by Customer Service Department at the General Department of Strategy and Performance Development, focused on the Classification of the Ministry and Abu Dhabi Police’s services in a single set of guidelines that represents the major inputs in implementing the project of completing the transformation of the Ministry’s Services to e-services.

    The Secretary General explained that an integrated plan was developed last March in implementation of the directives of the Police leadership. The plan aims to complete the e-transformation of classified services by the Customer Service Department at the General Department of Strategy and Performance Development and improve performance; noting that those services are related to all internal and external clients of the Ministry in all sectors.

    He added that the goal of the system is to classify services provided by the Ministry and Abu Dhabi Police, to establish unified guidelines for these services, including the implementation of e-services. He mentioned that the projected system includes several features and benefits for customers and partners, and allows the activation of communications channels. It also provides several high quality services that save time and efforts.

    For his part, Lt. Colonel Nasser Khadim Al Kaabi, Director of Customer Service Department, said that the workshop organized in collaboration with the participants in the preparation and implementation of the project, namely SAAED for Traffic Systems Company, and its partner HeiTech Padu, reviewed the e-pattern to be implemented, the mechanism of updating the services of each sector, and updating the system regularly.

    H added: “Practical applications were put in place to update the sector services system, and it was reviewed by the participants through a display of the adopted model of the introductory service card of each service, which was developed recently as per the latest requirements of UAE e-government.”
     
    The workshop was attended by Colonel Aziz Humoud An Amri, Director of Strategy at the Strategy and Performance Development Department in the Ministry; a number of departments’ directors and officers who coordinate strategy and clients’ services at all headquarters and sectors of the Ministry at the UAE level; Engineer Ibrahim Ramel, CEO of SAAED for Traffic Systems Company; and William Eng Liang, Regional Business Development Manager in HeiTech Padu Berhad.
