The Ministry of Interior’s delegation, led by Major General Nasser bin Al Awadi Al Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization Residency and Ports Affairs continued its official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany for the second day, where they visited the General command of the German Federal Police in Potsdam near the German capital, Berlin.
Al Menhali and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by Matthias Zieger, Chief of German Federal Police; Major General Eckhart Fakhi, Director of International Cooperation Department, and Colonel Jalladi, Director of Ports and Borders Affairs in the Federal Republic of Germany.
A number of topics of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting, where Al Minhali and the accompanying delegation listened to a brief overview on the history of the German Federal Police and its new organizational structure, implemented in 2008, as well as the tasks and functions carried out by the General command of the German Federal Police in the city of Potsdam, both locally or internationally.
They were also briefed on the international cooperation between German police and other police agencies around the world. They watched a presentation on Border and Ports security, and future prospects for the development of systems and procedures currently in force in ports and borders.
At the end of the visit, Al Minhali wrote a note in the German Federal Police General Headquarters’ guestbook. Commemorative gifts and photo ops were exchanged.
Major General Nasser Al Minhali and his delegation, accompanied by Major General Zieger, Chief of German Federal Police; Major General Eckhart Fakhi, Director of International Cooperation Department, and Colonel Jalladi, Director of Ports and Borders Affairs in the Federal Republic of Germany, attended an official lunch held by U.A.E. Embassy in Berlin upon an invitation by Ambassador Mohammed Ahmed Al Mahmud, in the presence of members of the UAE diplomatic mission in Berlin.
