Abu
Dhabi Police presents paper in Medical Emergency Conference
Abu
Dhabi Police , represented by Emergency and Public Safety
Department and Air Wing , participated in the Medical Emergency
Conference held at the Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi .
Brigadier
Khaled Abdulatif Al Dosary , Director of Emergency and Public
Safety Department presented a paper on the experience of his
department in the field disaster management at local , regional
and international levels.
He
spoke about the concept and types of disasters referring to
the statistics of United Nations of 2005 in this regard which
says that 38% percent of disasters all around the world are
caused by floods followed by cyclone disasters which represent
28% . According to the said research Asia comes on the top
of disasters among world continents by 42% , followed by Africa
which represent 30%.
Al
Dosary spoke about the experience of his department in dealing
with disasters, giving examples of his department participating
in rescue operations when earthquake hit Pakistan and Indonesia.
Minister
of Health hails rescue and ambulance services
During his tour in the Medical Conference and Exhibition held
at the Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi accompanied by Brigadier
Khaled Abdul Latif Al Dosary, Director of Emergency and Public
Safety Department and a number of police officers, His Excellency
Humaid Al Qattami , Minister of Health hailed Abu Dhabi Police
for the humanitarian services they provide in the fields of
rescue and ambulance by helping victims of different kinds
of accidents .
He
also praised the notable development in the field of air rescue,
and expressed his satisfaction with the modern equipment the
Police use to save human lives in accidents .
It
is important to note that Emergency and Public Safety Department
participated in the activities of the conference and exhibition
by presenting two papers from Brigadier Khaled Al Dosary ,
Director of the Department on the experience of the department
in dealing with emergencies , crises and disasters .
An
other paper was presented by Doctor Karima bint Raffaf Talibi
, head of medical branch on quick response to accidents and
the significance of communication in cases of accidents.
Captain
Ibrahim Ali Jalal , head of technical training branch of the
Emergency and Public Safety Department pointed out that the
Air Wing was presenting in his pavilion advanced and up-to
–date equipment used in the field of medical ambulance
such as the foldable stretcher used in towers and high buildings
and other high –technology devices .
Lieutenant
Colonel , Obeid Musbih Al Tunaji head of operations section
of the Air Wing pointed out the importance of using new technology
in the field of air ambulance such as the new rescue device
used in rescuing children and babies and other similar equipment
